Senior Executives Association

Welcome to the Senior Executives Association

Senior Executives Association (SEA) is the professional association for career members of the Senior Executive Service (SES) and equivalent positions. SEA is not only the voice of the SES through a strong advocacy program, it empowers senior leaders across government by providing the tools, resources and connections they need to succeed in the 21st century.

SEA's membership spans across government agencies, missions and functions, giving SEA a unique whole of government perspective and the ability to connect to the skills, tools and people (both public and private sectors) that senior leaders need. SEA members receive access to research and news, strategic networks, and connections to the good practices across government that they may not receive on the job.

Above all else, SEA is guided by dedication to public service and to helping career federal leaders better serve the American people.

December Presidential Rank Awards Event

SEA is gearing up for a December event that will be equal parts celebratory and educational – with a special focus on recognizing a truly distinguished group of public sector leaders – winners of the Presidential Rank Awards.

We are especially excited that the timing of the event will allow us to recognize both 2016 and 2017 honorees.

The event is tentatively scheduled for December 7th, and we are fortunate to have ConnellyWorks, a Virginia-based public relations, marketing communications and events services firm, helping us with many of the logistical details. However, to make the event truly successful, we need volunteers to serve on a planning committee that will be responsible for designing the program content for the event.

Patrina Clark, president of Pivotal Practices Consulting, retired career SES and Vice Chair of the SEA Professional Development League Board of Directors, is chairing the Planning Committee. Patrina will convene the inaugural meeting of the planning committee on September 19th at 3 p.m. ET, and weekly calls will be held leading up to the event. If you have questions about the planning committee or are interested in serving, please contact Patrina at or (443) 481-8511.

Thank you for your membership in the Senior Executives Association and participation in the DEAN’s List program. I look forward to working with each of you more in the future. Please stay tuned for exciting new programming and opportunities.  I can always be reached for question or comment at
