BGRS is a leading global relocation management company providing relocation services the U.S. government for over 30 years, and a longtime partner of the Senior Executives Association (SEA). SEA and BGRS are conducting unique research regarding current U.S. Federal and Canadian government relocation policies and talent management practices to determine how effective practices are today, and how they may need to evolve for tomorrow. SEA’s Future of Government Leadership is Now summit in December to explore these trends. This research will investigate the extent to which previous recommendations from the Governmentwide Relocation Advisory Board report have been applied, current attitudes and challenges agencies are facing, and integration of talent development objectives into relocation, as well as how the pandemic is changing the future of work. The survey results will provide valuable insights and recommendations for policymakers, career executives, and operational stakeholders working with relocating employees. The report will explore how relocation is managed, supported, and tracked to capture patterns of succession impact, success enablement, and retention rates for a service line that moves over 30,000 civilian federal employees and costs the U.S. Government nearly $1.5 Billion per year. SEA asks all of its members, regardless of program area, to take the survey. If you are also involved in government relocation as a CHCO, Program Manager, Hiring Official or if you interact with relocation services in Finance, Acquisition, Administration or Personnel, your additional input is very valuable to this research project. We would ask that you spare 15 minutes to complete the survey questionnaire. Respondents will receive a copy of the resulting white paper and an invitation to an event discussing the findings.
