Eligibility

Member Categories for SEA

Active Member

Individuals who are SES, Senior Level (SL), Scientific and Professional (ST), or equivalent are eligible for full membership in SEA.

Additionally, GS-14/15 or equivalent who meet any of the following criteria are eligible:

  • Equivalent executive responsibilities
  • Positions subject to centralized control of their agency's Executive Resources Board
  • Completed an agency executive development program/course
  • Attended the Federal Executive Institute

 

Retired Member

Individuals who are former executives that either retired or left government are eligible for membership as a retiree.

 

Participation Categories for SEA

SEA created categories to broaden participation in SEA. Participants in these categories cannot vote or assume SEA leadership roles on the Board of Directors or Communities of Change (CoC). The following describes the specific categories and benefits accrued to the participants.

Associates

GS-14/15’s who are not eligible for full membership in SEA will be nominated by an SEA member. 

Associates will:

  • Take part in SEA’s leadership and mentoring program,
  • Receive ACTION,
  • Participate in CoCs and Chapters,
  • Receive a discounted rate for participation in SEA’s annual conference,
  • Receive all SEA sponsor discounts, and
  • Participate in SEA webinars and seminars.

Associates would pay $149/year for participation in SEA.

 

Rising Leaders

GS-12-13’s will be nominated by an SEA member and are identified as rising stars within the Federal government (PMF, Pathways, agency-specific leadership programs, SEA/YGL Mentor/Protégé Program, etc.)  

Rising Leaders will:

  • Receive ACTION,
  • Participate in CoCs and Chapters,
  • Be eligible for participation in SEA’s leadership and mentoring programs,
  • Receive a discounted rate for the annual conference,
  • Receive all SEA sponsor discounts, and
  • Participate in SEA webinars and seminars.

Rising Leaders would pay $99/year for participation in SEA.

 

Affiliates

GS-12 to 15’s who will self-nominate for participation. 

Affiliates will:

  • Receive ACTION,
  • Participate in Chapters,
  • Receive a discounted rate for the annual conference,
  • Receive all SEA sponsor discounts, and
  • Participate in SEA webinars and seminars.

Associates would pay $49/year for participation in SEA.
