Join SEA, the Federal Managers Association (FMA) and Resilient at Work for the first in a free webinar series on mindfulness and resilience - especially critical skills in our current challenging environment.

The pandemic is the ultimate VUCA environment. Leading yourself and others through it resiliently is crucial. Yet, VUCA times are not limited to the current crisis. Reorganizations, mission changes, budget lapses, disruptors, and layoffs, are also characteristic of VUCA conditions.

In this lunch time series, we’ll examine what it means to be resilient during difficult times and how to cultivate this essential capacity, using a mindfulness-based approach.We invite you to join your peers in strengthening this critical, evergreen skill so you can stand in a VUCA worldwith greater mindfulness, confidence, strength and compassion.

About the Session:

Brief 20-minute sessions let you consider an aspect of resilience, engage in hands-on practice, then get back to work.

Sessions consist of:a teaching, engaged mindfulness practice and Q&A. 

The series will occur each Wednesday for the next 4 weeks. Participants may come to each session or join us for one session.

 

About the Speaker:Phillis Morgan,J.D. survived rocketing in Afghanistan, earthquakes in Nepal, and a tsunami in India. Her mindfulness training was invaluable in navigating these challenging environments with greater strength and equanimity. She is a NATO Medal recipient, author, and lawyer. Having studied mindfulness in Thailand and India for years, she is honored to be able to bring this ancient wisdom to the aid of organizations to cultivate more resilient leaders and workers.
