Learn how you can communicate about future trends and future-related initiatives in the government and the opportunities to do so from onboarding to all hands meetings.

After hearing from Amy Zalman (for more information on the first session please register https://tei.treasury.gov/) on the principles of storytelling and foresight, out these principles to work in a 45 minute session: craft your own story within government - what is your personal story, how do you fit in to your organization's story, and when would you use your story - and practice your elevator pitch with fellow participants.

About Amy Zalman's session: Making the Future Now—Storytelling in Government

Learn from futurist Amy Zalman on how you can craft the future today with storytelling. Learn how you can communicate about future trends and future-related initiatives in the government and the opportunities to do so from onboarding to all-hands meetings.

Amy Zalman is a global security futurist, author, professor and speaker. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prescient, a management consulting firm that helps organizational leaders anticipate critical global changes and transform to meet it. She previously served as the CEO and President of the World Future Society and as the inaugural Department of Defense Chair of Information Integration at the National War College in Washington DC. Zalman has additionally served on the faculties of New York University, Cornell University and the New School University in New York. She currently serves on the Board of Visitors, U.S. Air Force Air University; the Board of Directors of the Council on Emerging National Security Affairs, and the International Panel of Futurists. She is a frequent speaker on topics about the future of society, business and governance, and has presented keynotes and talks to diverse audiences of experts and general public on five continents.

She is a former Fulbright scholar in Jordan, and a former fellow at the EastWest Institute in New York.
