SEA President Speaks at ACHE Annual Meeting

SEA President Bill Valdez joined SEA Board Members Lisa Thomas and Glenn Costie at the American College of Health Executives (ACHE) Annual Meeting in Chicago to discuss how SEA is advocating for career Senior Executives at a time when Congress is developing proposals that undermine basic protections for senior leaders, particularly those at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Over 100 senior leaders at the ACHE meeting came primarily from VA, but also represented other agencies that are involved at federal health care agencies.

Valdez, Thomas and Costie assured the executives that SEA is working closely with the Trump Administration and the Hill to communicate the importance of building a strong executive leadership cadre in the Federal government and that any reform efforts should be focused on empowering executives to be more effective and accountable for the important work that they do.
