SEA Elects New Board of Directors Chair and Secretary
Congratulations to SEA Board Members Don Bathurst and Bob Corsi, the newly elected Board Chair and Secretary.
Bathurst, Executive Director for Emergency Preparedness, Department of Homeland Security, will now serve as the Chair of the SEA Board of Directors, succeeding Barbara Pabotoy, former Associate CHCO for Human Capital Service, Department of the Treasury (retired), who will remain on the Board.
Corsi, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Department of the Air Force, will take over as the Board Secretary, succeeding Arnold Layne, Director, Office of Information Analysis and Access, Environmental Protection Agency, who will be leaving the Board for new opportunities within the EPA
Throughout his career in federal service, Bathurst has served in various roles at the General Services Administration and the Department of Homeland Security, including Chief Administrative Officer for DHS; Deputy Administrator, United States Fire Administration, FEMA. He has received numerous awards from both the government and private sector, including the Arthur S. Flemming Award – given to him as one of the top five managers in Federal service – and the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award.
Corsi has spent more than 46 years combined in active duty and SES service in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility at wing, major command, and Air Force headquarters levels. After retiring from active duty in the rank of colonel, he entered the SES and served as Deputy Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force and as the Deputy Director, Manpower and Organization prior to assuming his current role. He is a registered professional engineer, and in his current position, oversees the execution and programming of the Manpower, Personnel and Services portfolio with an annual $40.9 billion personnel budget for 660,000 military and civilian total force Airmen.
