Senior Executives Association

The December 13th 2018 Senior Executives Association Presidential Rank Awards Leadership Summit was a day full celebration, thought leadership, networking and professional development education.   More than 500 senior leaders from government, the private sector and academia were on hand to recognize the 131 Presidential Rank Awards and have peer-to-peer discussions.   In addition, distinguished keynote speakers – Department of Energy Deputy Secretary Dan Brouillette; Margaret Weichert, Acting Director of OPM and Deputy Director for Management at OMB; and Joseph Heck, Chairman of the National Commission on Military, National and Public Service – discussed their leadership philosophies and recognized the enormous accomplishments of the PRA honorees.

Our Current Initiatives

At the top of my mind as we head into November are three major initiatives with which SEA is involved.

At the top of my mind as we head into November are three major initiatives SEA is involved with:

  • Infrastructure Modernization Campaign: If you think Federal IT and financial systems are oh-so-1990s, you won’t be surprised to learn that SEA’s infrastructure is in even worse shape.   As a result, we launched a modernization campaign in October and we have already received a great response from our members.  When this campaign is completed, you can look forward to important upgrades to our website, communications abilities and other member benefits.
  • 2018 Presidential Rank Awards Leadership Summit Planning: Agenda is announced, keynote speakers are signing up, panels are being developed and we are otherwise planning for another successful PRA Leadership Summit on December 13th at the Mayflower Hotel.  The Summit will be a jam packed day of policy discussions, professional development seminars, flash mentoring, networking, and, of course, honoring the 2018 PRA winners.  Register now to join in on the fun here.
  • 2018 SEA Annual Meeting: We are holding SEA’s Annual Meeting in conjunction with the PRA Summit on December 12th, again at the Mayflower Hotel.  This is an opportunity for you to get an update on SEA’s initiatives, new business, and network with your colleagues.  And, we will be honoring longtime SEA members and participants in SEA’s mentoring program, which is done in partnership with Young Government Leaders (YGL).  To register for the Annual Meeting, please click here.

All three of these initiatives have many moving parts, but their primary purpose is to bring added value and services to you, our members.  I hope you will take advantage of the opportunities coming up to engage with SEA and your peers.

As always, if I can be of service to you in any way, please do not hesitate to drop me a line at Bill.Valdez@seniorexecs.org.
